Dru Oxley 2010 Alex Northover Award Winner

My finalist nomination for the 2010 Alex Northover Award allowed me to attend my first industry conference, which was a great experience. Winning the award in 2010 was a great honour and helped me further my professional development beyond the Cert IV I had built my portfolio of evidence for. The Alex Northover Award experience also directly started me on the road to national involvement with the IQA, with the Vic Committee, the YMN and as a member of the Board. All of which continue to put me in touch with fantastic people involved with a great industry.

Mick Walton 2015 Alex Northover Award Winner

Financial support from the AIQEF allowed me and the three other finalists for the 2015 Alex Northover Award to attend the IQA 2015 National Conference in Adelaide. This paid for our travel, accommodation and registration. Foundation members guided and mentored us during the conference and I was fortunate to be the overall winner and received a grant of $2500 grant. I have utilised this grant to assist me in furthering my career development learning.
